March 12 – April 28, 2026

Wild Leaves presents the works of Yura Adams, Katie DeGroot, Maggie Nowinski and Jacqueline Qiu, four artists whose creative practices are driven by a deep connection to nature and the environment. Adams, DeGroot, Nowinski and Qiu re-imagine worlds drawn from the poetry of nature. Shifting patterns of light, wind, clouds; the mutable colors and shapes of our changing seasons; flashes of insect and animal life; blooms and decay; these are some of the transient natural phenomena upon which they draw. Their media may differ but their approach is similar, intuitive and informed by their immediate surroundings. Far from crafting literal representations, they rely on improvisation, invention and abstraction to capture nature’s resilience and ever-changing essence. In works that merge the mystery of the outside world with the rich internal landscape of the human psyche, we discover nature’s intensity, unpredictability, menace, but above all its beauty.
Wild Leaves is curated by Kirsten Pitts and Isabelle Schiavi.
